PACT Golf Tournament 2009

The second annual Ski’s golf tournament for the benefit of PACT was held on Monday, June 22, 2009.  Fifty six players teed off this year at the Legacy golf course in Ottawa Lake Michigan to compete for first place in the tournament. In addition to the tournament, players attempted the $10,000 hole-in-one contest on number 8 and the $5,000 putting contest.  Players also bet against the skills of Angie Sparagowski on number 16.   Angie was able to collect a lot of money for PACT on that hole.   

The winners of this years tournament were Randy Boratyn and Mike Boratyn with a score of 66; six under par.  The second place winners were Kenny Kujawa and Norm Kujawa who also shot 66, but lost in the score card playoff.   Kenny and Norm were last year’s winners.  John Klocinski and his cousin Mel bested last year’s score by 3 shots to come in last place (again!).

After the tournament, players gathered at Ski’s restaurant for a great dinner. The winners were announced after dinner, and there were numerous door prizes donated by local businesses were given out to the players.   

PACT would like to thank all of the people who made this golf tournament a huge success, the volunteers who donated their time to work at the tournament and those businesses who donated sponsorships and door prizes.  Proceeds from this tournament will be used to realize PACT’s mission statement.
