Wigilia 2019

Wesołych Świąt!

PACT and TPA are proud to announce this year’s Christmas Eve traditional “Wigilia” Celebration.  The word “Wigilia” comes from the Latin word “VIGILARE” – to await.

This year’s celebration is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Olivet Lutheran Church’s Christian Life Center, 5840 Monroe Street in Sylvania.  Doors open at 5:00 and Wigilia program and dinner start at 5:30.

The Wigilia Celebration includes:

Lighting of the First Candle

Reading of the Passage of the Birth of Christ

Sharing of Oplatek

Meatless Meal of Traditional Polish Food

Explanation of Wigilia Traditions

Singing Traditional Polish Christmas Carols (Koledy)

Price: $15 PACT or TPA members, $20 Non-members,

$10 Children age 5-12 , Children under 5 Free

For those who aren’t familiar with Disco Polo, it’s what ALL the DJ’s play at weddings, bars, festival and events all over Poland! Consider it polka music for the clubs!
