Tom Pruss with Zibilski's - First Place 2020 Kielbasa Cook OffSki's Kielbasa - Second Place WinnerTom Pruss with Busia & Dziadzia Old Fashion Kielbasa -Third Place winner What a great time we had at the 2020 Kielbasa Cook Off!  Thank you to all who came out to support PACT.  PACT is a 501c3  non-profit group working to promote our local Polish Heritage and work with other groups with the same goals.  The profit from the cook off will be used to give 4 high school or college age students a $1,000 scholarship.  We work with the Toledo Poznan Alliance to help local Polish students in their education.    We have given $30,000 to local students so far.

Due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the boards of the Polish American Community of Toledo (P.A.C.T.) and the Toledo Poznan Alliance (T.P.A.) have postponed the Polish Movie series until Polish American Heritage Month in October.

Wigilia 2019

Wesołych Świąt!

PACT and TPA are proud to announce this year’s Christmas Eve traditional “Wigilia” Celebration.  The word “Wigilia” comes from the Latin word “VIGILARE” – to await.

This year’s celebration is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Olivet Lutheran Church’s Christian Life Center, 5840 Monroe Street in Sylvania.  Doors open at 5:00 and Wigilia program and dinner start at 5:30.

The Wigilia Celebration includes:

Lighting of the First Candle

Reading of the Passage of the Birth of Christ

Sharing of Oplatek

Meatless Meal of Traditional Polish Food

Explanation of Wigilia Traditions

Singing Traditional Polish Christmas Carols (Koledy)
